We begin with some good news. Both Harry Spurling and Edmund Mitchell were head-hunted and are now elsewhere in the newspaper industry. Issue 4 - September 2014

What do you do when you go to the MCG as a spectator? First you get a surprise text message from your cousin who lives in Canberra and you haven’t seen for about 5 years. Then you find out that they are in Melbourne for the week to deliver a lecture. Next, via another text, you discover that they are, in fact, at the MCG as well! Umpires fight back to record a win

The usual annual football game between the WRFL Umpires and the Hoppers Crossing Fireys was played at Avalon Airport Oval, Chirnside Park, Werribee on Sunday 14 September. The numbers were fantastic with about 21 players on each side. Read More
