Following a thumping win earlier in the year, the Stan Mielczarek Cup has been moved to October to tie in with the start of Grand United's season.
The annual match honours the late Stan Mielczarek for his sterling commitment to both clubs. Stan is a life member of the umpires association and was elevated to Legend status in the Hall of Fame for his services to umpiring and fundraising over four decades.
The match will be played at Parsons Reserve (Albion Football Club's home ground) on Thursday, 8 October at 5pm. A barbeque dinner will follow.
Grand United has intimated that a full strength XI will take the field after the kids failed to get the job done last time, so we will need to be on top of our game.
All that is required is some cricket gear and white clothes (umpires shirt is acceptable).
