On 21 July 2016, the WRFL Umpires Association was lucky enough to receive a community grant from The Brook on Sneydes in Point Cook.
The Brook, in conjunction with the Geelong Cats AFL club, has formed a Community Partnership Program to assist local not-for-profit organisations in the greater Wyndham area.
Geelong players Shane Kersten and Jed Bews were on hand at the venue for the presentation of a $5,000 grant to WRFLUA president Henry McFerran and secretary Terry O'Donnell. The grant will be used to aid female umpire development and recruiting for the 2017 season.
The WRFLUA would like to thank The Brook for its ongoing commitment and support.
